The Carpenter's ApprenticeBuilding on the foundation of Jesus Christ ~ 1 Corinthians 3:11Welcome!The Carpenter's Apprentice is dedicated to encouraging Christian growth through diligent study of God's word, and preserving the unity of believers by opening biblically based dialogue on issues which have long divided the body of Christ. The only basis for true unity and fellowship among followers of our Lord is an absolute commitment to the truth of His word. Although none of us understand it perfectly, we can grow in the knowledge of God by faithfully seeking truth. The resources shared here are intended to provoke thought, further study, and dialogue so that together we may grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Far too many Christians have abandoned the pursuit of truth in favor of promulgating their own understanding of it. We should not be afraid to have our beliefs confronted by God's word. Growth demands that we challenge what we hold in faith, to be sure it is of the faith! As "iron sharpens iron," we need one another if we are to grow in faith. May the Holy Spirit guard what is placed here, and may He guard your hearts and minds from anything that is not of God. Take what is useful and sift out what is not. Knowledge is only of value if we are faithful to use it for God's purposes. To that end, we are building a variety of pages and links which will help you to consider your stewardship of faith in all of life's arenas. Failing to post here on a regular basis has become, I'm afraid, something of a habit. So, this month is catch up month. The writing continues, I just don't take the time to upload things to the site and so I end up with marathon days like today. The July edition will challenge you regarding Jesus' Victory Over Sin And Death. Was He victorious or not? Learn how many Christians send a mixed message and dilute the power of the gospel message. Nevertheless, don't neglect to visit the archives and complete our study on Hebrews. Those lessons are essential to understanding the victory Christ won. Thanks for stopping by. May God bless us as we journey together! The Apprentice
